The Frari Church and the Scuola of San Rocco

A unique experience for all art lovers The Frari Church was the main Franciscan seat in the city, and the church houses some of the greatest art jewels in Venice. You will be moved by the sweet, distant beauty of Giovanni Bellini’s Virgin and overwhelmed by the astonishing symphony of colours in Titian’s Assunta. The nearby Scuola of San Rocco was the house of one of the main and richest brotherhoods in Venice, built in the early 16th century. The amazing painted decoration of its large chambers is mostly due to the genius of Jacopo Tintoretto: about 60 canvases in wooden, gilded frames, creating a majestic ensemble, which you will never forget.
